Sofía Espiñeira is born in the town of Mugardos, where she spent all her childhood and adolescence. He approaches music from a small age, studying Elementary Degree in the Professional Music Conservatory of Ferrol between 10 and 14 years of age, with the clarinet as an instrument. Then she begins to play guitar and sing, composing his first songs.
In later years he attended journalism studies at USC, finishing them in 2009 in the city of Rennes, France. It is during this university stage that begins to focus on body and artistic work, approaching contemporary dance and circus techniques. After completing the university, she completed a year of training at the Navarra School of Circus Oreka in Pamplona, which gave her the tools to begin her professional career in the performing arts. Back in Galicia in the fall of 2010, she relates to Santiago de Compostela, beginning to work with Roberto C. Mouriño in the theater puppets company Titereficciós, from which Cantos contos contas (family theater) and Chove (theater for babies) will be born later.
In 2010 she establishes contact with the Circonove Association, where she continues her training and circus learning. In this time she works with the dancer and Clown Alba Moreno Biurrun in the company Resueltas (2010-2012) and is part of the cast as a cover in the first features of the show Impreuna, on Pista Catro.
In 2015 new projects are born linked to dance, theater and music. Huevos fritos y vino tinto is one of them: a poetical-theatrical proposal for a duet with poetess Carmen López Roca. There is also a new theatrical meeting, the company Teatro ó Cubo, where together with the actors Alfredo Pérez Muiño and Roberto C. Mouriño, she premiered her first work with a musical theater format for a family audience: O faiado. In the field of dance, she begins to work as a dancer in the children’s shows of Estamos no verán, a novel – disc by Xoán Curiel and Charo Pita.
In April of that same year, she is the winner of the II Certame de canción de autor do concello de Teo, which allows her to record her first album, Alá onde agroman as herbas. This work gives her an opportunity to start her career as a singer, who starts with her first concert in December at the festival Treme a terra, in Pontedeume, and continues to develop until now with her concert tour in different concert halls, festivals and other cultural spaces presenting her album.
